  • Tone and strengthen key leg muscles while you run with the Reebok® RunTone Action so you can make the most of every stride!
  • Low-cut design offers added mobility.
  • Combination synthetic leather/material and breathable mesh upper helps provide a comfortable fit and durability.
  • SmoothFit technology creates a smooth comfortable fit with minimal potential irritation inside a light, flexible, streamlined upper. That's because all seams are either eliminated or sealed both inside and outside of the shoe. SmoothFit provides sock-like comfort you can feel.
  • Removable PU sockliner provides extraordinary cushioning while accommodating orthotics.
  • IMEVA midsole cushioning.
  • Beveled heel construction for enhanced walking stride.
  • RunTone technology for muscle activation, toning, strength, endurance. With RunTone, you tone and tighten your key leg muscles throughout your run.
•Based on the EasyTone concept, RunTone is modified significantly to address the different needs of the running motion. These pods are 50% lower in profile than the EasyTone pods.
•Eight balance pods with moving air create a unique softness with ever stride, forcing your muscles to work harder.
•At heel-strike, air is compressed in the heel pods and forced out towards the forefoot- this air that exists in the pods cushion just like an air bag in a car. Some of the air at heel strike is also sent to the medial heel of the shoe to provide the lateral stability necessary in running. As the forefoot lands, the air is pushed back to the heel. The result is the micro-instability and softness needed for toning in a safe and comfortable running profile.
•Provides more activation in key running muscles (calves, quads) with RunTone technology versus a traditional running shoe.
•Reduces peak impact forces which reduces stress on the body.
  • Weight: 10 oz
  • Product measurements were taken using size 5.5. Please note that measurements may vary by size.

3 Tips When Changing Running Shoes

!±8± 3 Tips When Changing Running Shoes

Changing running shoes can be a traumatic experience.

The same shoes may have been worn for a number of years, depending on the amount of running that has been done and it can be a big issue to part with them and start to wear a new pair.

There are 3 points which should be taken into consideration when changing from well worn ones to a brand new pair.

1. Never leave it too long to change shoes, especially if you know that they are past their best having worn down heels or nearly worn through soles with little or no tread left on them. They are one of the most important pieces of running kit and treating them with respect will mean that they will serve you well as you run.

2. Making a sudden change is not recommended because it can lead to the feet having to deal with a lot of different things at once in the new shoe and consequently can mean that the feet and legs can suffer adversely because of this.

One thing that should be avoided at all costs is the wearing of new shoes for a race. The better option is to purchase the shoes well before any race event and wear the old ones alternate with the new on the training runs so that the feet get a proper amount of time to acclimatise to the new environment. They are having to adjust from a well formed usage pattern to a new one because of the newness of the shoe. The fact that they might be of a different make could add to the difficulties that could be experienced as they are broken in.

3. Do not skimp on the cost. There might be some good looking offers of low price models, but in the long run if you stick with well known brands at a decent price level you will know that you will get a quality shoe which can last a lot longer. Ideally you should have a gait analysis done when going to purchase a new pair.

As mentioned at the beginning, changing shoes can be quite traumatic because of the many fond memories the old ones may have, in fact many people are reluctant to part with them even though they have served their time and are only really fit for the bin. Make the change following the suggestions above and you will get full value out of the purchase.
