•At heel-strike, air is compressed in the heel pods and forced out towards the forefoot- this air that exists in the pods cushion just like an air bag in a car. Some of the air at heel strike is also sent to the medial heel of the shoe to provide the lateral stability necessary in running. As the forefoot lands, the air is pushed back to the heel. The result is the micro-instability and softness needed for toning in a safe and comfortable running profile.
